Gladis Johnson was born on May 28th 1942 in Philadelphia, Pa to the late Willie Johnson and Ruth Summers Johnson. She was the oldest, having four other siblings, William (Pop), Arleen, Frankie and Valerie. Pop and Frankie preceded her in death. Gladis leaves to cherish fond memories: her two children, Karen and Carlton (Tedra); two extended children, Kimberly (Tommy) and Anita (Ronald); eight grandchildren, Kierra (Dennis), Brianna (CJ), Denisha, Aaron, Amber, Saquan and Brian; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Arleen and Valerie (Allen); a "special sister" Barbara McFadden; stepmother, Emma Johnson; stepsister, Valarie P.; two God children, Chaz and Jannina J.; first cousins, Betty, Benjamin, Gene, Clarence (Doretha), Rodger (Pam) and Ruby; nieces and nephews, Renata (Matt), Kevin, Aronissa, Chelsye, and Tamyra; Special Friends, Lorraine W., Cora, Barbara Willie Brown,Jannina T., Lorraine G., and Rev. Pelzer; a host of great nieces, nephews cousins and friends; her Marshall Street family and Fernon Street family.
