Kathleen Woodards

Kathleen affectionally known as Kathy departed this life on December 29th , 2021, suddenly.

Kathy was born to the late Mable Woodards and John Selby. Kathy was educated in the public school system and graduated from the 12th grade from South Philadelphia High School.

after completing her education, she worked part time at the Philadelphia Navel Base and was hired full time by the federal Government as a Computer Programmer. She was employed with them for over 20 years plus, until her health began failing in 1988.

Kathy was a very outgoing person, she loved company and  having her family and friends over.  She loved and indulged in good food lol. Kathy LOVED playing cards! Kathy was very handy in assembling many things, no matter what it was. She could do it so effortlessly without any instructions. Kathy LOVED vending her socks, oils, T-shirts, incense ETC. Kathy loved her apartment; she would be so excited with getting new decor. If you know Kathy like I know Kathy, you know she was the Facebook QUEEN! She encountered many friends all over from networking on there. Kathy loved to watch old movies and Law & Order. She loved to blast her music. She would listen to jazz, gospel and R&B.

Kathy was proceeded in death by her mother, father and brother John Selby Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory (3) sisters, Christina Woodards, Wanda Harris (Ray Harris, brother-in-law) and Joyce Robinson. (1) Brother Julius (Butch) Woodards, (sister-in-law Sandra Lawrence) Huge host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, (1) Aunt Eleanor Davis, God daughter Taneisha Wise, a very special friend she met on Facbook and remained good friends with until her passing ( Kathy Harmon). Kathy also leaves to cherish her BFF for over 40 plus years Birdella (Peaches) Moore. Kathy had a very special LOVE for her dear niece (Waneesha Carter) AKA Nu Nu.
