Rebecca "Pinky" Worrell

September 23, 1975 — September 19, 2021

Rebecca was full of life and a loving person; with a huge heart she always gave more than required. She was born and raised in the East oak lane and Northeast areas of Philadelphia, Pa. Rebecca graduated from Simon Gratz High School where she was known as a Champion Volleyball and Softball player. She was a natural athlete. Rebecca earned a volleyball scholarship to Temple University. she also held leadership positions as a member of the U.S. Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps R.O.T.C. As an adult, Rebecca used all the creativity that she learned from her Mom Peggy to start a company, "Pinky's Sweet Creations" Handmade Chocolates and Hard Candies, Cakes and Icing from Scratch, Balloon Arches, Diaper Cakes, Floral Arrangements and Wreaths. Photography, Gift Baskets, Invitations, Holiday Home Decor, Photo Backdrop, Prom Parties, Food Catering. Rebecca allowed her creative and bright personality to spill over into her business. Her creations brought joy at first sight and you knew Rebecca had put her special touch on that event;. From Weddings to Baby Showers, From Graduations and College Pack Parties to Funerals; She took pride in her work and it showed in her creations and on the faces of her clients ranging from your next-door neighbor or cousin to businesses and government agencies. Rebecca always went above and beyond when she planned ANY event. There would always be an abundance of food, fun and gifts. ALWAYS! Later in Rebecca's adult life once she retired from sports, she began motorcycle riding; with a pink helmet, eyes on the back and a ponytail protruding from the back of it she proudly rode with the motorcycle clubs in Philadelphia of which she was a member. She participated in motorcycle rallies throughout the tri-state area as well as in Virginia Beach, Va, Myrtle Beach, SC, Daytona Beach FL. Her bike and riding with her fellow members was another passion of hers and brought her immense joy! Rebecca received Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. Rebecca leaves to mourn: her husband-her heart Charles Worrell Sr.; sons Erik A. McDaniel Jr. and Cyree Worrell; daughter in-law Sasha Hernandez; sisters Teshia, Chanta and Emmanuel; grandchildren Milan McDaniel and Kenzo McDaniel; Best friend, Latifah "Reese" Staten; God-parents Sam and Marvella McDaniel; The McDaniel Family, Hernandez Family, The Watson Family, The Cross Family, The Ketter Family and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Rebecca was preceded in death by her fiance Erik A. McDaniel Sr. (1996), Stepson Dejaun (2021) her brother Carl Johnson, her mother Peggy Crocker.
