Sallie Mae Tart, affectionately known as "Granny," was born on December 2, 1932 in Marion, South Carolina to the late Florence Evans and Henry L. Pope. Sallie departed this life and received her heavenly wings at midnight on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved eight children: Sylvia (Reggie, deceased), Donald, John (Delores), Carol, Linda, Terry, Eric, and Bryant; thirty-five grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; and her special love, Kaliek; ten great great-grandchildren; beloved family members, friends, and community.
