Life Story Shirone Swane Washington was born to Grace Washington Roberts on January 2, 1954. He departed this life at home on May 16, 2020.He was the eldest of six children. Shirone was baptized at an early age in the Frazer River in King, VA. His early education in the Philadelphia public school system. Shirone relocated with his family to Philadelphia, PA in 1970 where he continued his education in the Philadelphia public school system. Shirone joined the United States Marines Corps. He remained in service for four years and received an honorable discharge. Shirone loved to cook, he got a job working as a chef at Delilah’s Restaurant, which he really enjoyed. His greatest pride was the job he had working for Al’s Furniture Store, helping build and put together furniture. This gave him a great sense of pride. He was a good handyman doing repairs when its needed. Shirone spent a lot of his time fishing this is something that he was extremely passionate about. He watched westerns and Sci-Fi movies on TV most days. He would walk to Stinger Square Park to sit and talk and be with his friends. He was very funny and loved to tell jokes to his family and friends. Shirone was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Roberts, brother , Pernell, Washington, son Mel Parker, and nephew Nehemiah Gredic III. Shirone leaves to cherish his memories; daughter, Nicole Braxton, four sisters, Janet Pauling (Calvin), Valerie Washington, Gwendolyn Gredic, (Nehemiah), Faye Washington, (Sammy). Grandchildren; Avia Donte, Kiontay, Raquekwon, Jamil, and a host of nieces and nephew’s family and friends. Sorrowfully submitted The Family
