Anthony Theodore Robinson Sr. was born November 3, 1955 and passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2022. He played around in the Philadelphia Public School System until he didn't. Anthony was known as Tony, Doc Rob and Ynot. After leaving school, he went to work for Brockway Trucking Company as a truck driver, then a manager for several years. He stayed at Brockway until he joined his late father-in-law, Sandy Craw ford, sailing around the world as a Merchant Seaman. Ynot met and fell in love with Sandra DeShields in 1972 and they married in 1974. From that union, three children were born: Anthony Jr., Richard Sr. and Jennifer. He had a love for music and played many instruments including the guitar, organ and piano; but his greatest love was playing the saxophone. Tony and his buddies formed a band and performed around Philly in the 70's and early 80's. Looking for a change of environment, Ynot moved to Ionia, MI with his play brother Lonnie, where he lived until he passed away. While in Ionia, he met a new group of friends that he loved like family. Ynot was always happy and you could count on him to have a joke when you see him. His jokes were usually long and drawn out, often inappropriate and sometimes funny. No matter if the joke was funny or not, you had to laugh at the way he would bust out in laughter after telling the punchline. Ynot threw us all for a loop by having a son Demetri, later in life. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thelma Robinson-Jones and Robert Robinson Jr. and stepfather Norman Jones. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: one sister, Mary Davis; children Anthony Jr., Richard Sr., Jennifer, Demetri Davis and stepson William (Nicole); ex-wife, Sandra; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
