Areatha Roberta Campbell peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.Affectionately known as "Bunny", she was born to proud parents, the late "Edna Earle Collins and Augustus Wilkins on December 6, 1954.She attended Philadelphia High School for Girls, where she graduated with honors. She was employed and retired from the Philadelphia Police Department.Areatha met her husband James, on a date in 1981 and three years later in 1984 they were happily married. This union lasted 42 years.Areatha enjoyed life and looked forward to traveling with her husband on yearly vacations to renew and refresh their love for each other. She had a sweet spirit and to know her was to love her; a radiate smile that would light up a room; a humble and caring person. It was her boundless love for her family that sustained her, helping her overcome obstacles and granting us the gift of her presence for longer than doctors believed possible. To God Be The Glory! Areatha leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband James Campbell; Areatha gave birth to three children: Monay Wilkins, Janean Campbell, and James E. Campbell. She also had five stepchildren: Mia Fields, James Wynn, James D. Campbell (wife - Voneette), Donnyell Campbell, and Cynthia Gillespie (husband-Patrick). Areatha was also gifted with three grandchildren: Takia Angel Campbell, Mony Kauree Campbell, and Jace Dontiez Campbell; a loving sister Alice Wilkins, niece and husband Tia and David Rector; Areatha had a sister-in-law, Carmelita Campbell; a brother-in-law Don Rico Sutton and sister-in-law Tiajuana Sutton who preceded her in death; brother in laws: Auturo Campbell, Fred Cisco Sutton (wife Belinda), San Diego Sutton (wife Shante); step sister in law Gabriella Sinclair; step brother in laws James Sinclair, Frederick Sinclair, Harold Sinclair and Roger Thoma (wife-Doris). Many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews to mention. I will always love you, Areatha. Thank you for taking care of me and loving me the way that you did for 45 years. Until we meet again.
