Armada Edna Wilson "Ms. Buttons"

Armada Wilson, 65 years of age, transitioned from this life to her eternal home on February 19, 2024, in Philadelphia,  PA. Armada Edna Wilson was born  April 21, 1958 to the late Edna Wilson and George Brawner in Philadelphia PA. She was the youngest of 7 children, 3 (Doris, Junie and Leonard) of whom preceded her in death.

Buttons, as they called her, because of her, because of her big brown eyes was a nickname that she gained from her siblings at a young age. She was educated in the Philadelphia School System and graduated from Overbrook High School, class of 1977. After completion of High School, she obtained  secondary   education  to be a licensed Phlebotomist. She later continued her career in positions that would entail helping others because that’s what she loved to do.

Armada gave birth to 3 daughters, Myisha, Shedira and Jasmine. She took pride in being a mother. She loved to cook and bake as well as accommodate her family, especially her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Everyone knows that “Buttons house has everything that you need”, She will truly be missed.

Armada was a loving, caring person with a little bit of spice. To know her is to love her. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend. A devoted grandmother and great grandmother, who adored her grands.

Armada leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy, 3 daughters, Myisha, Shedira and Jasmine. 6 grandchildren, Talid, Nahijah, Na’ir, Jada, Jori and Nasah. ,One great grandson Ja’haii, 3 sisters Lorraine, Alada and Veronuica. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
