Arthur Mitchell was the eldest child of Louise Mitchell and Arthur Mithcell Sr. who preceded him in death. A lifelong resident of south Philadelphia, in his younger years he played for the Sonny hill basketball league at Landreth and the Various schoolyards in the area.
As an adult he made a living as a custodian, spending 20+ years working at the gallery mall. after a long day he would bring home fresh baked oatmeal Rasin and snickerdoodle cookies from Mrs. Fields. Family and friends would often walk through the Gallery just to chat with him.
Arthur enjoyed talking about his favorite sport team the LA Lakers, watching Westerns, old black & white movies and hanging out with his friends. He never left home without his favorite Phillies hat and was known for his big smile and heartly laugh. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend.
Arthur leaves behind his siter Viola, brother Richard, his nephew Rasheen, two nieces Shante and Tiffany, four great nephews, one great niece and a host of friends.
