Christine Yvette Whitaker

On October 8, 1965, Shirley and Clarence welcomed a beautiful baby girl by the name of Christine Yvette Whitaker. As a young girl she was always outgoing, strong-willed, motivated and hilarious. Anyone that knew her Chrissy or crossed her path was protected and always going to be loved by her. she had her own way of making people feel protected and loved no matter what. Growing up Chrissy always wanted a host of children. By the age of 20 years old she welcomed a baby girl named Nashay. A bit later she welcomed another baby girl named Chikeena. Whoop and Boop is what she called them. The trio was inseparable. Chrissy was a loving, caring and devoted mother. Whenever you saw Chrissy, bets believe those girls were not far behind. As the years Progressed Chrissy fell into a dark place. Where she decided to move to Williamsport, PA. She left her girls behind. Sleepless nights were the least of her worries. A month later she was reunited with her girls. She finally was able to cope with what she was dealing with. Soon she moved back to Philadelphia. She had finally surpassed her trail and tribulations. Sometime after she welcomed another baby girl named Shaniyah. Chrissy vowed that was it by this time Nashey and Chikeena were already teens. They helped as much as they could with Shaniyah. Chrissy later decided to go back to school. She enrolled in a night program at South Philadelphia High. There she was full of determination. Months later she graduated just as proud as could be. She was awarded the Presidential Award and with her High School Diploma. As time went by she met a woman by the name of Bernadette. Chrissy and Bernadette became inseparable. Bernadette also had a young boy named Kevone, whom she been raising. Chrissy became filled with joy for she always wanted a little boy. Kevone fulfilled just that. Soon Chrissy and Bernadette eloped and the rest is history. Furthermore, to know Chrissy was to be loved. She was full of joy and happiness and a smile to light up an entire room. Chrissy will forever be loved and truly missed by all her family and friends. Christine is survived by her wife, Bernadette; her daughters Nashey (Maurice), Chikeena (Beedy) and Shaniyah; her step-son Kevone; her grandchildren, Lashey, Johnera, Nasir, Ja'syah, Faith, Jay'ceon, Jae, Ja'quees, J'quan and Zaafair; great grands Lori and Lora; siblings Rhonda, Tony and Shante. A host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
