Deborah affectionally known as Mimi was born November 27, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Gwenolyn Hannah and Allen Wardell Hannah. On April 30th 2021 Deborah Freeland transitioned. Deb had eight siblings, three brothers, five sisters and one bonus sister. Inez Charlotte Dunmye who preceded her in death, Bernadette Hannah who preceded her in death and Hercules Rodney Hannah who preceded her in death. Sisters Denise Ardell Hannah, Teresa Ryals-Logan, Gwendolyn Irene Hannah and her bonus sister Ellien Perry. Two brothers Herbert Rodney Hannah and Allen Hannah. Mimi Considered herself a humanitarian. She took joy in helping others in any capacity whether it was taking someone into her home or lending her ear or heart to others in their times of need. She attended the Philadelphia school system where she obtained her high school diploma. Mimi went onto attend Wilfred Beauty Academy for cosmetology and earned her License, she then moved on and attended Community College of Philadelphia to pursue a education I Real Estate. Mimi pursued so many different job opportunities. She found investing and buying property gave her a sense of security. She enjoyed her time in cosmetology because she loved helping to make others feel and look beautiful. Before Deb retired she enjoyed a long stint working with children at Germantown Montessori school as a head teacher, then as the manager. Mimi had this overwhelming urge to do missionary work. While visiting Valley Christina School for event she turned to her daughter and said God just spoke to me I'm supposed to travel with this church to fulfill my purpose of spreading the word of God and helping people. so Mimi joined forces with Huntingdon Valley Presbyterian Church and traveled to Guatemala with a team of 17 others, it was one of the best experiences of serving humanity that she could have ever envisioned While Mimi was pursing her education in cosmetology she was also dating Alexander Freeland. She had a Deep love for the lord her passion and drive pushed Alex to want more so Mimi found greater Bethlehem Temple Church of Apostolic Faith where Bishop Ordes speaks joined these two into Marriage on November 27, 1973. Deb first born was Tahim Wardell Freeland, their union brought fourth Ivory Sy who preceded her in death, Donnel Freeland, and the baby Coran Freeland Auguste. This family was known as the Cosby Family because they always had children around, good food and entertainment. Mimi had a thing for bringing family and friends together for good time but most of all she loved the presence of children and found herself raising her bonus Children Claudette Freeland, Ishanae Sy, Mayshanane Ellison, and Angel Ellison. Mimi leaves to cherish her memories a special forever guy Mr. Matthew Auguste her two sons Tahim Wardell Freeland (his wife Lauren) and Donnel Freeland. 2 daughters Ivory Sy who preceded her in death and Coran Freeland Auguste. one daughters nlaw Childeric like Auguste Jr. Twenty grandchildren: Nyeem Carter, Nacir Carter, Arick Lochetto, Cartier Allen, sharif Campbell, Sahir Freeland, Sulaiman Freeland Saalih Freeland, Yaqub Freeland, Suhayb Freeland ,Saalih Freeland, Suhayb Freeland, Hazim Freeland, Shamear, Ishanae Sy, Mayshiana Ellison, Angel Ellison, Xavion Auguste, Isabella Augste and last but not least her little princess Fayruz Freeland. Great grandchildren Nyeem Carter , Nafis Carter, Nyeemah Carter, Nylah Carter, Nacir Carter goddaughter Amanda Perry. One sister nlaw Flora Jane Freeland, and one brother nlaw Alfonzo Logan. One special Aunt Reverend Mattie Waters and special cousin Bisop. Mimi leaves a handful of nieces who she loved in a special way, many nephews and cousins, and so many friends Deborah Cheryl Freeland affectionately known to her grandkids and others as Mimi was born On Nov 27, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Gwendolyn Hannah and Allen Wardell Hannah. One daughter in law Sakinah Hameed-Freeland and one son in law Childeric Auguste Jr. Twenty grandchildren Nyheem, Nacir, Arick, Cartier, Sharif, Sahar, Sulaiman, Saalih, Yaqub, Suhayb, Hazim, Shamear, Ishanae, Fayrus. 5 great children : Nyheem Carter, Nafis, Nyeemah, Nylah, and Nacir Carter. One sister in law Flora Freeland and one brother Alfonzo Logan. One special Aunt Mattie Waters. Mimi leaves a handful of nieces who she loved in a special way: Claudette, Jade, Alicia, Carolyn, Keia, Dij, Rennell, Lisa. One God daughter Amanda Perry and many nephew and cousins and so many friends.
