Florence Dickens was born December 22, 1937, in Philadelphia to the late Emma Harris and Late Salvadore Tinderella.
Florence was educated in the school district of Philadelphia, where she learned a lot of her skills for jobs to come. She took on various jobs working as a housekeeper, seamstress and nanny.
In the early 50’s, Florence met then married Luther Dickens, whom she traveled to Germany with. Later on in time, Florence met the love of her life Donald Lindsay. Donald cared for Florence in her sickness while battling with his own sickness until the lord called him home.
Florence was a member of the Eastern Star- she belonged to the Selma Lodge located at 15 and Girard Avenue. Florence enjoyed cooking, partying, traveling, and doing puzzles. She loved going to the casino, shopping and going out to eat with her sister, Lil (You rarely saw one sister without the other.) family loved gathering at Florence’s house, especially during the Christmas holiday.
Florence leaves to cherish her loving memories to her devotes sister Leila Mae Mathis; her children, Shreen and Anthony (dearly Departed); her grandchildren, Philip, Dynesha, Janiyah, Dakwan, Gianna and Shreen (Chubbs), along with the rest of the Richardson siblings; great-grandchildren, host of niece and nephews, friends and extended family. Special friends, Mazie, Lois, and Lucy.
