Florina Louise Walker, lovingly known as Flo (Toegina), was born on May 8, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Florence Hall and Seymour Fitzpatrick. She peacefully departed this life on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Flo received her education through the School District of Philadelphia and graduated from Bok Vocational Technical High School in 1968, where she trained as a seamstress. She went on to work for Allied Security, where she retired as an Account Manager after years of dedicated service. Flo was also a devoted member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Deaconess.

On June 23, 2001, Flo married her love, Reginald Walker. Their union was a beautiful reflection of partnership, love, and commitment.

Flo was like no other—she had a heart of gold. Her giving nature, vibrant spirit, and boundless love made her the heartbeat of her family. She was full of life, always ready to share a laugh, lend a hand, or lift someone’s spirits. She truly embodied what it means to love selflessly and live joyfully.

Flo’s passion for life was evident in the things she loved: dancing, cooking, and most especially, caring for others. Her sweet potato pies were unmatched, and her nurturing spirit made her a ride-or-die caregiver who gave of herself without hesitation.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Johnny, Raphael, and James; her son Johnathan; and grandson Jawwaad.

Flo leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her loving husband, Reginald; daughter Alicia (Leo); son Leon; sons Reginald, and Cayenne; grandchildren Tynisha, Tiara, Kayla, Ania, Trinity, Lyric, Saleemah, Ar’ree, and Reggie; brothers Jeff and George (Delores); sister Alice; sister-in-law Candy; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Her light, love, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Dedication to Our Mother

From Your Loving Son and Daughter

Mom,

Words could never fully express what you meant to us. You were our safe place, our teacher, our greatest cheerleader, and our guiding light. Through every stage of our lives, your love remained constant—strong, gentle, and unconditional.

You taught us resilience through your actions, kindness through your words, and strength through your presence. You gave of yourself endlessly, never asking for anything in return but always giving your all. You made our house a home, our lives full of laughter, comfort, and purpose.

We are who we are because of you. Your voice will always echo in our hearts, and your love will forever guide our way. Though our hearts are heavy, we know your spirit lives on in everything good you poured into us.

Thank you, Mom, for every sacrifice, every hug, every lesson, and every moment. We will carry you with us always.

With endless love,

Your son and daughter

My sister was a beautiful light in our lives—someone who loved deeply, laughed freely, and gave generously. She wasn’t just my sister; she was my friend, my support, and a part of my heart.

I will miss her every day, but I am grateful for every moment we shared. She lives on in our memories, in our hearts, and in the love we carry forward.

Rest in peace, dear sister. You are forever loved.

~Alice

Sweetest grandma— our sunshine, our joy, our favorite love. You were our lifeline, a quiet strength we’ll forever cherish.

You lived loudly, loved deeply, and left this world in peace, on your own terms.

Joyful, spiritual, funny, and real— you loved fully, spoke truth, and lived with purpose.

God loaned us a rare spirit, a hidden treasure. No one will ever compare.

Though you rest in perfect peace, your light still guides us. And even with broken hearts, we’ll keep living what you taught us.

We don’t know how to do this without you— but we’ll carry you with us, always.

Love your grandchildren
