Grace Manuel

Grace Manuel was born May 4, 1934 to Allie and Alberta Boyd. She gained her wings on Sunday, Jan 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

                Grace received her education within the Philadelphia Public School System where she developed  her intelligence, with a loving personality which gained her a host of friendships. Some she still carried until her passing. Upon completion of her education, Grace entered the workforce beginning at children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Grace would later become a great asset for York house and University of Pennsylvania Hospital where she was employed for 47 years.

                Grace eventually united with the love of her life, Norman Manuel. Grace and Norman embraced the world side by side for eighteen years. Upon this blended union, a family of nine children was formed.

                Grace would eventually join the family of new Antioch Church where she accepted the  Lord Savior into her life and became baptized.

                Grace is preceded in death by her late husband Norman Manuel, mother Alberta Boyd, Father Allie Boyd, sister Edith Sneed, Margret Boyd, brothers James Boyd, William Boyd. Stepson Norman Manuel. Two brothers-in-law Madison Sneed and Leroy Copes. One sister-in-law Doris Matthews and mother-in-law Nala Manuel.

                Grace leaves to cherish her children Valerie (Chris), Vera, Steven, Norma,  Stuart (Lisa), Pam, Anthony and Diane. Also, 22 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, two granddaughters-in-law charlotte Boyd, her only surviving sister Martha Copes and a host of nieces and nephews.
