James Jackson Hamm, Sr, was born to the late Jackson Hamm and Pearl Edwards on June 27, 1927 in Philadelphia PA. James quietly slept away on February 19, 2020. James was educated in the Philadelphia school system, where he graduated from South Philadelphia High School. James Married Idella Gaston and from this union they were blessed with Jacqueline and James Jr. (Who predeceased him). James Leaves to Cherish his Memory: his daughters; Jacqueline White and Michelle Robinson; Idella Hamm ; five grandchildren, Cerise and Lauren Williams, Andrew Luckey, Tahaisha and Natasha Graham; a first cousin Delores Fields; a host of nephews, nieces and relatives.
