On Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 6:11 pm, Jeffrey Jackson answered the call from the Almighty God to eternal life. Jeffrey Jackson was born on April 11, 1963, in the Einstein Hospital, Philadelphia to James (Jimmie) Jackson (deceased) and to Julia Jackson. Jeffrey was the 5th child, known as the baby of the family. He was preceded in death by his brother James Jackson (Jimmy), his father James Jackson (Big Jim) and older brother Bobby J Blanks. He attended Philadelphia public schools and was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. Soon after graduation Jeffrey had a desire for nursing, so he attended Nursing School. After working in this field for several years, he decided to change careers and started working for a Law Firm. He worked for the firm until his health began to fail causing him to have to take time off from his job that he enjoyed so much. He was baptized at an early age at the New Light Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev. Dr. Tayor C. Killebrew. He was also honored for 35yrs of his service He later joined the Victory Christian Center, under the leadership of Bishop Jimmy A. Ellis. He was the choir director there for over 10 years. While at the Victory Christian Center, he was licensed by Bishop Ellis to Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a love for singing. He sang with the Philly Youth Mass choir, later joining the Philly Mass Choir and he was a member of the well-known Victory Chora Ensemble. One of the greatest joys of his life was when he traveled abroad to Europe singin with the Johny Thompson Singers. While in Europe, he was a part of a play entitler"Master I Want to live"', written and directed by Mr. Thompson. Jeffrey was a kind-hearted person with a beautiful smile. He enjoyed cooking. On of his favorite dishes was his famous Shrimp Salad. He was a no-nonsense persor To know him was to love him.He leaves to cherish in his memory, his mother, Julia Jackson, brothers, Vincer Constantine, Derek Blanks (Irene), Sister, Deborah Stephens (Jerry),, Sister-i Law, Tamara Nicholas-Ruffin, (Barton) One aunt Carrie Mckay, Nephews, Terr Jackson, Derek Elijah Blanks, Bobby Washington, Nieces, Jasmine Jackson, (Bobb Danielle Brown (Joshua),Crystal Dunbar, Lonee Bazemore (Granville),Jasmir Allison. Cousin, Connie Jackson-Walker, three God children, close friend Nico Manning, and a plethora of cousins, as well as many friends of the Gosp Community and Leo the Yorkie, his God-dog.
