Joe Hubert

Joe B. Hubert, Jr. was born on September 28, 1942, in Hancock County, Sparta, GA to the late Joe B. Hubert and Mable Hubert. He peacefully departed on February 23, 2026.Joe was educated in the Sparta, Georgia school system where he formed the lifelong value of hard work. Over the years, he was employed by the Philadelphia Extract Company and Allied Barton Security where he dedicated himself to his work until retirement. After retiring, Joe embraced a slower pace of life, often found sitting on his porch chatting with neighbors and friends.Joe took pride in a clean home and neighborhood. His commitment to cleanliness earned him the nickname "Captain" of the block among neighbors who appreciated his presence. When he wasn't relaxing at home, Joe enjoyed spending time with friends at the local Italian Market.He was also a devoted fan of classic television westerns, which brought him many hours of enjoyment.Joe was preceded in death by his wife Joann, his son Ernest, his daughter Valerie, and his brother Eurie. He is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Minnie M. Howell, Ruth Bonner, and Celie Hubert; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a nephew of the heart, Keenan Bishop.Acknowledgenents
