Linda Jean McSeed, a retired bank professional and tax specialist, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Philadelphia, PA. Born on September 23, 1948, in Philadelphia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Issac and Julia Thompson.
Linda graduated in 1966 from West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. A few years later, she met the love of her life, William Lee McSeed, at a local sandwich shop. Their instant connection led to marriage, and they were blessed with two sons.
Linda was a woman of many passions. She delighted in reading romance novels, cooking, baking, and crocheting. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She treasured these moments and cherished the bonds she formed with her loved ones. Known for her optimistic outlook on life, one of her favorite sayings was "ooh child," reflecting her belief in finding the silver lining in every situation. Linda will be remembered for her loving and kind-hearted nature, her giving spirit, and her willingness to help those in need.
Her devout Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with solace and strength. Linda was an active member of the Saint Athanasius Choir and a dedicated participant in her community.
Linda dedicated many years to her career, working as a banking professional for 30 years and a tax specialist for 34 years. She also enjoyed teaching. Her commitment and expertise earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues, clients, and students.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, William Lee McSeed, Linda is survived by her sons, Ronald Troy McSeed of Arlington, TX, and William Shaun McSeed of Clarksville, TN, as well as her granddaughters, Charlotte McSeed and Eva McSeed. She is also survived by her siblings, Joyce Brooks (Leonard), Sharon Thompson Goldman, Christopher Thompson (Venetia), Ronald Thompson, and Kenneth Thompson. Sister-in-laws Mary Wingfield, Lucille McSeed. Aunt Myra Ruise(Larry). Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved niece, Cassandra (Donald) Copes. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda's presence is deeply missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
