Obituary
On June 17,2022, our beloved Mom, Mother6n-law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, cousin, & Friend Margo E. Pitts passed away suddenly in Philadelphia, Pa. Margo was the only child of Miriam T. Clarke who preceded her on July 2021.
Margo E. Pitts was born in Phila. Pa. in 1942 but lived her childhood up to high school in Rocky Mt. North Carolina. Margo graduated from George Washington Carver High School. After finishing high school, Margo moved back to Philadelphia with her mother.
Margo worked and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank. After retiring from the Federal Reserve she took a short sabbatical to travel. Margo loved to travel. In order to keep the grass from growing under her feet, Margo decided to go back to work at US Airways/American Airlines where she retired again in 2020. Margo was a hard worker at both her careers. Her belief was to do her job well in every aspect.
Margo leaves behind a daughter, Pilar Moore-Todd; son-n-law Thomas l. Todd; two sons, Dione and Rafuir Ruffin; a daughter-n-law, Denise Ruffin (wife of Rafuir); five grandchildren Jamall Dean & wife Johnnie Dean, Jetuan Moore & fiancé’ Adam Jaynes, &Sequoya Ruffin; two great grandchildren; Jada and Journie Dean, as well as her beloved cousins Lynne Peterson, Arlene Byrd, Wayne Saunders, Keith Saunders, Zina Byrd, Mark Byrd, as well as many more cousins and friends.
Our cherished matriarch loved spending time with her family, church family, traveling, shopping, decorating, cleaning and organizing. She was a straight shooter; and will tell it like it is to make sure it was clear and done right. Margo was more than just a pretty face, there was intelligence and common sense that made up her persona. She left a piece of herself in all of us especially a stylish one. Her impact on her family is her legacy.
You can now rest in piece my beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friend.
No pain or sorrow will ever cross you path again.
