Merckie "Bees" Robbins

was born on June 5, 1961, a true native of South Philadelphia, a place that would forever hold a special piece of my heart. I grew up surrounded by the people, places, and experiences that helped shape the woman I would become. I attended the Philadelphia Public School System, where my early years were filled with lessons, friendships, and memories that remained a part of me throughout my life. South Philadelphia was more than where I was born—it was home, and I carried that sense of belonging with me wherever life took me.

As I grew older, I found purpose in caring for others. I worked in the medical field as a caregiver and home health aide, giving my time, compassion, and heart to those who needed it most. Caring for people came naturally to me because I believed in being there for others. But my greatest joy was being a mother. I became a parent to four children, and my family became one of the greatest treasures of my life. Through every season, I remained devoted to the people I loved, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed me.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior through confession. I loved God and cherished my church family. I welcomed everyone—family, friends, and even those I had just met—to worship with me, praise God, and experience the joy of fellowship. If you knew me, you knew that I was the life of the party. I loved family gatherings, good friends, laughter, and the simple moments that brought people together. My sense of humor could light up a room, and I never needed a special occasion to enjoy life. I had a zest for living and a way of making people feel welcome, loved, and supported. I supported my family with all that I had, because to me, family meant everything.

My journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on September 12, 2026. Although my physical presence is no longer here, I hope the laughter I shared, the love I gave, the memories we created, and the lives I touched will remain. Remember me not only with tears, but with smiles, stories, and laughter. Remember the woman who loved her family, cherished her friends, cared for others, and embraced life with her whole heart. I’am Mericke Robbins, affectionately known as “Bee’s” and I lived my life surrounded by love. My greatest wish is that the love I gave continues to live on in each of you.

When I get to Glory I will meet my Daughter Shannon, my sisters Adrian and Michelle

My legacy is now carried by my Sons, Aaron, Brandon and Justin; my Sisters, Jackie, Dawn and Vanessa; my brother Robert. My grandchildren, Maliek, Briana and Aaron my nieces, nephews and cousins, Lincoln Post 89 and my South Philly Family!
