 John Linwood Welch  was born on January 10, 1934, to Ruth Welch in Allentown Pennsylvania.

 Mr. John Welch passed away peacefully  surrounded by family on January 15, 2024

John attended St. Charles Borromeo in South Philadelphia as a child, and then entered the public school system. After graduating he enlisted into the United Staes Air Force. He received an honorable discharge and began his civilian life working in many fields including landscaping and construction.

 He met and married the love of his life Loretta ,and they spent more than 60 years building their lives and raising 3 children.

John had four hobbies that he absolutely loved breeding dogs, riding horses, landscaping  and tropical fish. He was a fixture on 23rd and Tasker where he spent many years creating a garden oasis in the heart of the “hood”. He was always seen walking his dogs early in the morning or late at night. John also loved music, shoes and was always stylishly dressed.

He was preceded in death by his loving  wife Loretta Welch .

He leaves to mourn his devoted Daughter: Lori. Son: John Jr, Grandsons: Evander and  Terrell, Granddaughters: Sade, Johnae, and Jalaya. He will be greatly missed by his Great grandchildren, nieces, and adoring Daughters in law: Tressa, Tiffany and Shalon
