Nathaniel "Day Day" Halliday

On August 22, 2026, Nathaniel Halliday entered eternal rest after a strong and brave fight with a lengthy illness. Nathaniel is now reunited with his parents, Ira and Allene Halliday, and his wife, Bertha Blackwell.

Nathaniel Ameen Halliday, aka “Day Day” was born March 25, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Day Day attended the Philadelphia Public School System. He severed 2 years in the Military. He worked for the City of Philadelphia for over 30 years until his retirement.

He met and married Bertha Blackwell as a young man. They had a long loving marriage until her death. This union produced two sons Nathaniel and Anthony “Basil”. He has a loving daughter Ameena.

Six siblings preceded him in death, Ira Jr. Jean, Wendy, Eugene, Dorothy, Shirley.

He lives to continue his legacy: two sons, Nathaniel and Anthony “Basil”, one daughter Ameena, Son Inlaw, Omar. Grandchildren: Cory, Amia, Jessica, Tamir, Karima , Shakia , Hassan, Akeem. Great- grandchildren: Miyana, Kylie, Dylan, Kenneth, Lauren, Layanna, Sanaiyah, Ameerah, Ziah, Jayla, Khamia, Rimaji, Caiden, Shahadah, Rimaj, Khamya and a Host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
