Our Heavenly Father in his divine wisdom called from her labor our beloved mother Rebecca P. Miller. She departed this life on January 26th 2021 at care Pavilion. Rebecca was the daughter of the late Lewis Nathaniel Opher Sr. and Reverend Hester Opher. She was born on March 31, 1940 in Dorchester County, Maryland. She was the eldest of four children who were Lewis Nathaniel Opher Jr. Thelma Spry (Opher), and James Opher. Rebecca was known as vivacious child and second charge to her parents. She was graduate of Mace's Lane High School (Class of 1958), from there she went on to attend Coppin State University. Rebecca married Joseph Perry Jackson, and Jay Perry. Following her divorce, she and her children relocated to Philadelphia, PA,, where she worked at Saint Agnes hospital for 25 years. During that time, she met and married Matthew Miller, Sr. and shortly after, she retired. True to Character, Rebecca went on to obtain her Commercial Drivers License and work as a full-time school bus driver with Atlantic Express. She was loved by both co-workers and students. Rebecca was a dedicated mother and grandmother who reveled in her relationships with her grandchildren. In her latter years, due to limiting medical issues, she resided at Care Pavilion.
