Shirley Marshall passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 in her home town of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shirley was Born in Philadelphia to the late Ms. Margaret Holman and Mr. Dove Greene January 22nd, 1944. Shirley was educated in the Philadelphia public school system then began working as a nurse aid for over Twenty five years. Shirley married Mr. Ronald Marshall in 1966 at the age of 22. Shirley enjoyed socializing with family and friends looking her best at events. Shirley adored young children and being around them, especially her nieces and nephews. Shirley loved to watch her favorite team the Philadelphia 76ers play basketball and her favorite player Allen Iverson. Shirley was a staple at all family events and trips. Her potato Salad was always highly requested. Everyone loved Shirley! She never disagreed with much and always was a pleasure to be in the presence of Shirley's famous line "aight then" is what she said no to anything or anyone. She was easy going and fun is the lasting memories you would have of her. Shirley survived by her sisters Martha, Mary, and Alice, Brothers William and James. Nieces Vanessa and Chairese Nephew William Jr. and James Jr. Great nieces Zamiyha Jannah Janiah Great Nephews Randy Raheem Saleem Sanity Great-Great-Niecess Lundon and minori and great-great-Nephew Zamai. Brother Rolnald's family and a host of cousins and friends and special friend Leroy Griffi. Shirley is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Thurman father Dove Greene and loving step father Variah Thurman and brothers Allen and Ronlad.
