Shirley Walker

Pastor Shirley Walker was born to the late Ervin and Anna Lee Landers on June 14, 1932. She departed this life on Friday, November 6, 2020. Pastor Walker was educated in the Philadelphia School System and her last employment was with Jefferson Hospital. There was a reason why God brought her into the ministry. It was because he knew that serving him would be her life's goal. When Pastor Walker answered the Call she devoted her life to preaching and living out the Word of God while orienting others in the same direction. She brought God's message alive through her inspiring sermons. Oh, the many times her joy made her shout! Her dedication to the Lord, to her church "Word of Truth Christian Church" and desire to help others never made her weary. Pastor Walker was preceded in death by seven brothers, five sisters, her daughter and husband. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Lucius Walker, her sister Adrielle Mays, three grandchildren Jamal, Darnell and Shanell, a god daughter Tonya and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
