Walter L. Brice affectionately known as Butch was born to Josephine Brice and Walter Chinner Brice on July 1, 1947. He was born in Philadelphia PA, He fell asleep in death on August 5, 2022.
Walter attended Germantown High in Philadelphia He was meticulous in his dress and grooming. He loved reading and could recite Shakespeare from the beginning to the end. He had a real sense of humor often cracking jokes making everyone laugh. He enjoyed playing cards.
Butch married Diane in 1965 and from this union he had two children, Walter and Michael. However, they divorced in 1975 with him remarrying Bambi and from this union, he had a daughter, Josephine.
Butch worked at R&L Polk for many years as a machine operator. He had various other jobs over the years until his health began to deteriorate forcing him to retire.
During his illness, his companion, Yvette Foster of 30 years took care of him to the best of her ability. Yvette and her son Sam, who he loved and cherished as his own, were always together to assist in whatever way they could. They loved him.
Proceeding him in death was his father, Walter, mother, Josephine, his wife, Bambi and his brothers, Clarence and Jose.
He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Walter and Michael; his daughter-in-law, Celeste; daughter, Josephine; his companion of 30 years, Yvette; Sam, whom he raised from a baby; grandchildren; Walter, Miciah, Tamir, Chris, Noel and Jaxon; brother, Glenn Flores; sisters; Lustrina Flores, Gina Flores, Deborah Flores Moore and Tamara Brown, along with a host of family and friends.
