William Johnson

William Johnson Jr. was born in Philadelphia PA, on October 27, 1944 to the late Dorothy and William Johnson Sr. He was the Second eldest of Eight children, three whom predeceased him. freeman, Mary and Rosalind. William enlisted in the United States Army in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1965. William had two sons, Dwayne Goodman of Philadelphia and Anthony Goodman of Thomasville, Georgia. He started working for the city of Philadelphia revenue department from which he retired after 22 years of service. William met and married Catharine Cook-Johnson in 1992. He was always an outgoing person with wonderful personality. He enjoyed playing cards, laughing and having hilarious conversations with people and he seemed to make the room light up. he loved the Philadelphia sports teams especially The eagles and the Phillies. He also was a very independent person who lived life to the fullest. we would sit often and laugh about our childhood years and the wonderful memories. He leaves to mourn three sisters Barbra, Dorothy, Deborah and his brother Wayne. He also leaves nephews, five step children and five grandchildren.
