For many pet-parents, cremation is sensible option. We at One of Us do not endorse nor practice "community cremation". Each cremation is a private cremation. Your pets cremains are 100% your pets. A private cremation means your pet is placed in the cremation chamber alone. Upon completion of the cremation, your pet's cremated remains are removed from the chamber, and returned to you, in an urn of your choice. We provide a nice wooden urn as part of our standard service. However, we carry a nice selection of urns for those pet parents who would like more option to choose from.

There are many unique and beautiful options available for storing pet remains and creating a lasting memorial.

Burial is traditional and widely accepted. Depending on where you live, there may be restrictions on where you are allowed to bury your pet. Some communities will have pet cemeteries. Be sure to check your local ordinance before burying your pet.

Costs for pet burial can range widely depending on the type of casket and degree of personalization.

Whether burial or cremation is involved, we are also able to host a funeral or memorial service at our funeral home or the family home. Our licensed funeral director will handle the details of the service with same attention and care they bring to every funeral event. At the time of death you may choose to come to the funeral home to discuss arrangements, or we will be happy to come to you. We offer a full complement of services and merchandise to offer a fitting burial or cremation for you pet, including

We understand that making important decisions during a time of emotional stress can be difficult. For those pet parents that wish to plan ahead, we offer pre-planning services where we outline our options and pricing so the parent known in advance the services they would like to use and the cost of those services.
