For many pet-parents, cremation is a sensible option. At One of Us, we do not endorse nor practice "community cremation." Each cremation is a private cremation, and your pet's cremains are 100% your pet's. A private cremation means your pet is placed in the cremation chamber alone. Upon completion of the cremation, your pet's cremated remains are removed from the chamber and returned to you in an urn of your choice. We provide a nice wooden urn as part of our standard service; however, we carry a nice selection of urns for those pet parents who would like more options to choose from.

There are many unique and beautiful options available for storing pet remains and creating a lasting memorial.

Burial is traditional and widely accepted. Depending on where you live, there may be restrictions on where you are allowed to bury your pet. Some communities will have pet cemeteries. Be sure to check your local ordinances before burying your pet.

Pet cemeteries can offer a comforting, sacred place to visit your pet after their death. Costs for pet burial can range widely depending on the type of casket and degree of personalization.

Whether burial or cremation is involved, we are also able to host a funeral or memorial service at our funeral home or your home. Our licensed funeral directors will handle the details of the service with same attention and care they bring to every funeral event. At the time of death, you may choose to come to the funeral home to discuss arrangements, or we will be happy to come to you.
